Incandescence

Science in action
Incandescence is a service activity involving fourteen students and two teachers, Ms. Van De Pol and Miss Rabone. Incandescence are making candles that will be sold at the Mother’s Days stall next year. During our visit we saw the group decorating the jars and making tags.

Michelle L., a student in the group, said she was enjoying learning how to make candles as well as learning the value of service.

If you happen to walk past SL2 you will smell a smell that can only mean one thing, or one group, Incandescence! This lovely group are making sweet smelling candles to be sold at the Mother's Day stall and at Hills Harvest next year. The funds that they raise will go to the P and F and they will use those funds to buy new equipment for the school including new benches and shaded areas.

"The candles are going to go to a good cause" - Rebecca
When we arrived, the groups were just finishing up decorating the glass bottles with color and sequins and they were about to start making the candles themselves. The target for production is 92 candles.
